After about a month away, nothing like Home Sweet Home. It was indeed a wonderful trip!
On 26th May 2011, we attended Gerald's graduation and was indeed so proud of him at that very moment when we heard his name being called and there he was receiving his degree! Tears of joy for both Albert and I as we see the achievement of Gerald's hard work being rewarded.
After the graduation, Gerald thanked us for giving him the spiritual, financial and mental support throughout all these years. Both Albert and I were so touched by him showing his appreciation. On that day, we celebrated by having dinner at a restaurant.
After his graduation, we travel from Vancouver into Seattle and onto Boston for 3 days. Left for Philadelphia then went onto New York before heading for Washington DC. Our last stop in the States was Las Vegas.
Among all the states, we love Boston and of course Las Vegas where we did most of our shopping! Bought a super large Samsonite luggage to just pack in all items which we bought.
After Vegas, we went back to Vancouver to stay with Carl & Linda. Our stay with Carl & Linda was a memorable one with Linda's car being hit by another car who was trying to reverse. Sigh! we felt so bad that our visit has in a way caused that accident otherwise they need not have to be there. Both Carl and his father were so full of praise for Gerald for he has indeed put in great effort in getting his degree, very discipline.
Saying goodbye has never been easy but we bid farewell to Carl and Linda on 13 June and flew to Hong Kong. Arrived in Hong Kong and went off to Macau the next day. In Macau, we arrange to meet up our Uncle (my dad's younger brother) and his family in Kowllon the next day. The next day we met up in the afternoon for tea and the old folks were so happy so is Yvonne our cousin.
As we have done most of our shopping in US, we did not buy much from Hong Kong as we were also concern over the overweight of our luggage. We went on our trip with 3 luggage but end up having 6 super large ones in Hong Kong!
We arrived in Singapore on 17 June on an earlier flight as we were expecting Park MingJi (Gerald's friend) from Korea who was visiting Singapore and had arranged to stay over our place.
We thank God for the safe journey and pleasant and unforgettable holidays!
May God continue to bless us and remembering all those who need blessings from God!
